Appeal to the GAPCP Churches: Support the Joint Anniversaries
Dear Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Grace and peace be upon you all. As we approach the momentous occasion of the Joint Anniversaries—the 37th GAPCP and the 41st PTS/CAS—we are filled with gratitude for the faithful service and unwavering commitment of our Presbyterian community.
On June 12, 2024, we will come together to celebrate not only the years that have passed but also the vibrant spirit of fellowship, worship, and mission that binds us as one body in Christ. The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of the Philippines (GAPCP) and the Philippine Theological Seminary (PTS) have been instrumental in nurturing spiritual growth, theological education, and community outreach. These anniversaries provide a unique opportunity for us to reflect on our shared journey and renew our dedication to God’s work.
As we commemorate these milestones, I humbly appeal to all GAPCP Churches to actively participate and contribute to the success of this celebration. Here are ways you can support the Joint Anniversaries:
Prayer: Lift up our gatherings, speakers, and participants in prayer. Seek God’s guidance as we come together to worship, learn, and fellowship.
Financial Support: Consider making a special offering or donation to help cover the costs associated with organizing these events. Your generosity will enable us to provide a memorable and spiritually enriching experience for everyone involved.
Promotion and Participation: Encourage your congregations to attend the celebrations. Spread the word through your church bulletins, newsletters, and social media platforms. Let us come together as a united Presbyterian family to celebrate our shared heritage and faith.
Volunteer: Offer your time and talents. Whether it’s assisting with logistics, coordinating sessions, or providing hospitality, your active involvement will make a significant difference.
Unity and Fellowship: Let us embrace the spirit of unity and fellowship. Engage in meaningful conversations, build relationships, and strengthen the bonds that connect us across churches and generations.
May the love of Christ continue to guide us as we prepare for this momentous occasion. Let us honor the legacy of our predecessors and inspire the next generation to carry the torch of faith forward.
In the words of the Apostle Paul, “I thank my God every time I remember you” (Philippians 1:3). Together, let us celebrate, learn, and grow as we give glory to God.
With heartfelt gratitude and anticipation, Rev. Orlando Tabotabo General Secretary General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of the Philippines (GAPCP).
May this appeal resonate in the hearts of our Presbyterian brothers and sisters, and may our collective efforts make the Joint Anniversaries a blessed and memorable occasion.
