Presbyterian Herald News Update: Day 2 Highlights from 2nd Mission Conference at Philippine Nazarene College

The second day of the 2nd Mission Conference at Philippine Nazarene College commenced with an inspiring early morning devotion and prayer led by Rev. Joval Kisinamal, a distinguished Missionary to China and President of Philippine Bible Institute and Seminary (PBIS). Rev. Kisinamal, known for his multifaceted talents as a missionary and paint artist, shared poignant anecdotes of his experiences as an OFW Missionary to China, emphasizing the proactive, productive, and perceptive nature of mission work, rooted in the clear mandate outlined in Matthew 28:18-20.
In a heartfelt moment, Rev. Joval Kisinamal was recognized and appreciated by the Mission Committee Chairman Rev. Elimar Eleazar and Rev. Nelson Carillo, underscoring his significant contributions to the mission field.
After a spiritually enriching start to the day, attendees gathered for breakfast at 7:00 am, fueling themselves for the enlightening sessions ahead.
At 9:00 am, the conference resumed with the second session delivered by CAR Missionary Misoon Lee. Lee’s presentation, themed “Blessed to be a blessing,” resonated deeply with participants, urging them to embody the transformative power of blessing others.
A brief coffee break at 10:30 am provided a moment of respite before delving into the third session at 11:00 am. Rev. James Cantoria, Field Director of Philippines Challenge Inc., provided a comprehensive update on the progress of local and international missions, inspiring attendees with stories of impact and growth.
As midday approached, participants gathered for lunch at 12:00 nn, fostering fellowship and camaraderie amidst the bustling conference schedule. A brief siesta allowed attendees to recharge before the afternoon sessions.
At 2:00 pm, the Mission Testimony of Sister G. to Pakistan captivated the audience, offering a compelling narrative of God’s work in distant lands and encouraging participants to step out in faith.
A refreshing coffee break at 3:30 pm preceded the fourth session at 4:00 pm, where Rev. Elimar Eleazar, a dedicated Missionary from the Northern Philippines Team of PCI and Chairman of the Mission Committee, tackled the theme “Mission Die,” urging attendees to embrace the sacrificial nature of mission work.
As the day drew to a close, dinner at 6:00 pm provided a time for fellowship and reflection, strengthening bonds among participants. At 7:00 pm, Rev. Danilo Yandan, Moderator of CLNP, delivered a stirring message on “Mission Service and Prayer,” emphasizing the indispensable role of prayer in mobilizing workers and supporters for mission endeavors.
With hearts full and minds enlightened, attendees retired for the night at 9:00 pm, exhausted yet invigorated by the day’s proceedings. Day two of the conference underscored the inseparable connection between prayer and mission, leaving participants inspired to continue God’s work with renewed fervor.
